Who We Are
UHS Keystone School - Ventura provides a wide spectrum of educational and mental health treatment services to special education students from 1222 years of age. Located in Ventura, California, the school has three classrooms, each with 12 students. The UHS Keystone treatment team works closely with the student, parents and special education professionals to design and implement an individualized education plan (IEP) to meet the educational needs of each child. The schools programs also address the specific psychological and transitional needs of each student. Significant classroom resources are available to each student to maximize the learning experience. A treatment coordinator facilitates individual, group and family counseling or interfaces with outside treatment professionals. The plan supports each child in providing the needed psychological services to do well in school and in the community.
Daily instruction on life and social skills provides a solid foundation for the challenges of adulthood. Transition services and social skills training are provided each day. A Workability program gives each
student the opportunity to work on campus and seek off-campus employment. We are committed to admitting and helping every child, even those that nobody else will take, whatever the challenges a
child is seeking to overcome. Finding hope for children who are considered hopeless by others is something we do every day. Because at UHS Keystone School - Ventura, kids always come first, and we see hope in every child.
