Who We Are
UHS Keystone School - Ramona is a non-public school for special education students located in the center of Ramona, certified by the State of California. Ramona has a census capacity of 55. Eighty-five percent of the students we serve are high school students who live at RTCs (residential treatment centers) and fifteen percent are community based students. UHS Keystone School - Ramona also provides service to over twenty-five districts. In addition to general education and special education services, UHS Keystone School - Ramona also provides school counseling and behavior support planning.
UHS Keystone School - Ramona accepts both male and female students, ages 12 to 22, which are on a diploma track for high school graduation. Emotional disturbance is the primary eligibility criteria, with other categorical issues evaluated on an individual basis. All referrals must come through the students school district or SELPA. We are committed to admitting and helping every child, even those that no one else will take, whatever the challenges a child is seeking to overcome. The average length of stay for funded students is 6 months, hence a high transient rate.
