
Who We Are
Located in Elk Grove, UHS Keystone School - Laguna is a year-round, non-public school serving students who have been designated emotionally disturbed and students with developmental disabilities grade K-12. We provide intensive behavioral services, individualized education plans, and individual and mental health group services. Teachers do quarterly assessments on all students to measure a student’s reading fluency, word recognition, reading comprehension, math computation and writing samples aligned to the state frameworks. UHS Keystone School - Laguna uses the state-approved curriculum from the Elk Grove School District. The school’s programs include Why Try and Second Step as well as social skills training.

Additional Information
All of our students are referred to us by our local SELPSs and their school districts. The student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) must identify that student as needing special education services. An interview with the students and parent/caregiver is required prior to admission. Alicante School at Elmira is a “restrictive environment”, not an open campus, and students are supervised at all times.
