Special Education Teacher
PRE-REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS: Special Education Teaching, BA or BS Degree,
or working toward Special Ed credential. Have experience working with
individuals with severe disabilities and/or persons with challenging
behaviors.
The Teacher’s instructional duties include, but are not limited to: writing
IEPs (Individual Education Plan) and ITPs (Individual Transition Plan),
developing academic and behavioral programs, delivering instruction (in the
following domains: community, vocational, leisure, domestic, academic,
independent living skills, and social skills), reporting on student
progress, developing the classroom schedule, maintaining student data
systems, and creating and facilitating student transition plans. Instruction
will emphasize acquisition of functional and academic skills in the least
restrictive manner and setting as specified in the IEP.
Education Assistant
Pre-requisite qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required.
College coursework in child care or BA degree preferred. Experience in
dealing with children, SED and/or students with development disabilities in
education treatment programs or related field. Ability to obtain and
maintain a Class B Driver’s Licensed required.
Responsible for assisting teaching staff with student instruction and with
direct supervision. Responsible for participating in the development and
implementation of a student’s behavioral program including developing
positive relationships, crisis intervention and implementation of school
policies and procedures.
One to One Aide
Pre-requisite qualifications: High school education or equivalent required.
Experience in an educational setting. College course work preferred.
Assumes responsibility for assiting teaching staff in the instruction,
direct supervision and behavioral management of an individual student, in
the classroom and other areas as required.
Therapist
Pre-requisite qualifications: Master Degree or higher degree in counseling,
counseling psychology, psycholgy, or social work. Possesses a valid Calif.
License to practice as an MFT, LCSW or psychologist or is a registered MFT
or LCSW intern or psycholgical assistant pursuing licensure.
A school Therapist provides therapy and case management services to students
and their family on his or her caseload. The Therapist is a member of the
campus treatment team and provides clinical expertise and leadership to the
team as a part of the treatment planning process.
Maintenance Technician
Pre-requisite qualifications: Five years experience in maintenance or
construction. Excellent references. Provide own hand tools. Must have a
valid California Drivers License.
Performs a variety of janitorial and/or maintenance duties. Assumes
responsibility for the overall monitoring of the campus physical plant.
Reports to Campus Director or Project Manager. Accepts additional duties as
assigned. Good communications skills are necessary to interact with staff
and students.
Speech Pathologist
Pre-requisite qualifications: State of California
Speech Pathologist License. Implement and individualize speech and language
programs for exceptional students with severe handicaps, learning and/or
behavior problems.
Occupational Therapist
Pre-requisite qualifications: Possession of a valid license as an
Occupational Therapist issued by the California Board of Occupational
Therapy and certification as an Occupational Therapist by the National Board
of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Plan, organize, and conduct occupational therapy programs in
classroom, or community settings to help rehabilitate those impaired because
of illness, injury or psychological or developmental problems.
